Bark University was founded in 2013 by Candy Oppman. Candy’s love for animals and compassion for the people who care for them is what inspired her journey to become a dog trainer, a rescue rehab specialist, and to open Bark University. Bark University’s mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for dogs to learn and play in while being cared for by knowledgeable and passionate animal care experts. We pride ourselves on cultivating a positive atmosphere in all areas of our campus. Whether your pooch is boarding for one night or having a relaxing day at our grooming salon, your furry friend will leave happy and refreshed.
Bark University offers dog training, dog boarding, doggie daycare, and pet grooming services at our spacious Mundelein campus. Our main campus has a spacious indoor obedience training facility, a one-stop-shop grooming salon, a comfortable kennel area, and over 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play space.
